Athletics:

1. Good luck to the Varsity Girls Soccer Team as they open their season against CPA today at 4pm on the Burnside turf.  The girls are to be dismissed at 2:45 pm.  Members of the team are reminded that they must pass their form and fees into Mr. Wilcox at lunch today in order to receive their game kit.
2. Boys Volleyball tryouts will continue today at 3:30 pm in the gym.
3. Varsity Girls Volleyball tryouts will be held this week Monday to Thursday at 5:30 pm in the gym.
4. Any grade 9 girls who are interested in trying out for Flag Football are asked to add their name to the sign-up sheet outside the gym.
5. Any girls who are interested in trying out for the JV Girls Volleyball team are asked to add their name to the sign-up sheet outside the gym.

Music

There are sign-up sheets in the band room for Senior band, Jazz band, Percussion ensemble, flute ensemble, brass ensemble, sax ensemble and clarinet ensemble.  These are open to all band students in grades 9- 12, including second semester grade 9’s.

There is also a sign-up sheet in the music room for Volare, our school choir.  This is open to all students at Lockview.  All small ensembles meet at lunch and large ensembles meet after school.

Japan Trip

There will be a brief meeting for the Japan trip participants today at lunch in room F110.  There are still a few spots available if anyone is interested in coming on the trip!

Student Council

Student’s Council will be handing out the grade nine t-shirts (to all new grade nine students), at lunch outside the council lounge.  You must have your student ID to pick one up.

Parking Passes

Parking pass applications for grade 12 students will be available starting tomorrow in student services.

Community:
Students are reminded that properties along Lockview Drive and MacPherson are private properties.  You should not be using them as short cuts when walking to and from the school.
