Athletics:
1) Tryouts for the Girls Hockey team will be held on Wednesday, Sep. 26th and Wednesday, Oct. 3rd at 4pm at the Sackville Arena.  Any girls who are interested in trying out are asked to add their name to the sign-up sheet outside the gym.
2) The roster for the Gr. 9 Girls Flag Football team will be posted outside the gym today.  The team is reminded that they will have practice today at 3:30 in the gym.
3) Good luck to the Varsity Boys Soccer team as they take on Citadel today at 4pm at Harbour East.  The boys are to be dismissed at 2:45pm.
4) Good luck to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team as they play at Halifax West tonight at 6pm.
5) Congrats to the JV Girls Soccer team as they defeated Halifax Grammar 7-0 yesterday.  Grace Major led the way with 2 goals while Kiera Hiltz, Monica Johnston, Maria Miller, Dana Crossley and Emma McGill all added singles.  Gracie Lake earned the shutout.

Lockview High School can only sponsor 3 Grade 12 students.  To be considered for one of these three school sponsorships you must have expressed your interest to your Guidance Counsellor by Wednesday. Oct. 10th.

Band:
Senior band starts today after school and ends at 4:45. 

Jazz band and all other ensembles start next week.  Sign-up sheets are in the music room.  Second semester grade 9's are invited to participate in any ensembles first term.

Other:
There will be a Unified Sports Meeting in A102 at lunch.

Hey grade 9s.  Are you interested in going to Quebec?  There will be a meeting for all grade 9s interested in going to Quebec on a school trip this Wednesday, September 26th at lunch in A102/103 (next to the forum).  Bring your lunch and show your interest by attending the meeting.

Improv club will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch Backstage (F106).  If you want to play some fun Drama games, come check it out!  Bring your lunch, bring a friend!

This week, we will begin the process of selecting this year's competitive Improv Team.  Come backstage (F106) after school on Thursday for tryouts.  Bring a snack; we'll be there until 5:00.

Do you need some help in math? The Math Peer Tutors group is now available to help at lunch time every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in room D207 (Ms Miles' room).
