1) Good luck to the Field Hockey team as they host Cole Harbour today in the first round of the playoffs. Game time is 4:30 pm.
2) Good luck to the Girls Rugby team as they take on SJA today at 4:45 pm at Burnside. The girls are to be dismissed at 3:15 pm. - GAME IS CANCELLED
3) Students interested in trying out for the boys’ and girls’ slo-pitch teams are asked to add their names to the sign-up sheets outside the gym by the end of the week. Tryout information will be posted shortly.
*Attention Grade 12 students. Are you interested in bursary opportunity? The Nova Scotia Freemasons Bursary, Bedford Lodge #104 is valued at $1,500. This bursary amount will be increased to $3,000 if the student is attending SMU or DAL. Students should demonstrate financial need and be pursuing post-secondary studies in the fall of 2019. *Congratulations to Ainslee Chiasson and Claire Langille who received the Lieutenant Governor’s Award in a ceremony at the Halifax Public Library yesterday.
*The Charity Club is hosting BINGO tonight from 7-8 in the cafetorium. Doors will open at 6:30pm and there will be a Grand prize raffle for a West Jet voucher for 2 people to anywhere West Jet flies. Contestants must be on-site during time of draw. Spaces are limited. This is for all ages and all monies will go to purchase goats and water in developing countries.
*Charity Club will have a very important meeting at lunch.
*Grade level rep forms will be available for pick up in the students’ council office at lunch.
*All students who have registered for NSSSA in Antigonish must see Ms. Levo-Harrop today to inform her of two things: 1. That you have completed the registration and 2. Your transportation needs.
*Students are reminded that an AP Chemistry exam prep session will take place tomorrow at 8:00am in room B101. Check google classroom or your gnspes email for more information.
*The potential exemption list has now been posted outside of guidance. Please stop by to check for your name. Please speak to your teacher or Ms. Costard to make any necessary changes ASAP to ensure you get your exemption.
*Hey Dragons! Next Thursday, May 9th is our LAST DANCE of the year. The theme is Lockview Luau so come dressed in your Hawaiian clothing. Guest sign-in forms are available outside the council lounge and are due back next Tuesday.
*Lockview’s Next Top Dragon tryouts are at lunch today in the students’ council room.
