Athletics:
1) Congrats to the Field Hockey team as they defeated Cole Harbour in the league quarterfinals yesterday by a score of 10-3.  Camille Dubernard led the way with 6 goals while Lily Soucy added a pair and Lucy Phillips and Laura Tajuelo added singles.  The girls advance to the semifinals next week vs Citadel.
2) Tryouts for the Girls Slo-pitch team will be held next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at lunch.  Players are to meet in the gym.
3) Good luck to the Ringette team as they compete in the Metro Ringette Championship at St. Margaret's Bay Arena this weekend.  The girls open up the tournament today at 5 pm vs CPA.  The girls are to be dismissed at 3:15 pm.
4) There will be a brief track and field meeting at 12 in room A102.  Tryouts will be discussed so it is important that all athletes attend.

Guidance:
*Attention Grade 12 students.  Are you interested in bursary opportunity?  The Nova Scotia Freemasons Bursary, Bedford Lodge #104 is valued at $1,500.  This bursary amount will be increased to $3,000 if the student is attending SMU or DAL. *Grade level rep forms will be available for pick up in the students’ council office at lunch.

*The potential exemption list has now been posted outside of guidance.  Please stop by to check for your name. Please speak to your teacher or Ms. Costard to make any necessary changes ASAP to ensure you get your exemption.

*Hey Dragons! Next Thursday, May 9th is our LAST DANCE of the year.  The theme is Lockview Luau so come dressed in your Hawaiian clothing.  Guest sign-in forms are available outside the council lounge and are due back next Tuesday.

*There will be a free BBQ outside at lunch today.

*Table top gaming club is cancelled today at lunch.

*A reminder that the Cycle Savers training is tomorrow Saturday May 4th.  If you have not yet signed up for this great leadership volunteer opportunity and may be interested, it's not too late.  See Mme Gagnon in A-205 at lunch today for details.

*May 14th is Yellow Day.  Please wear yellow to show your support for mental health.

*This message is for students who have enrolled in the Co-Op program for next school year:
In order to be placed into the program you need to have completed an application form, with a teacher reference letter and a community reference letter included.  These forms can be found in Mr. Bucci's office, room D123 in the main office. Once these forms are in, interviews will be taking place.  If you do not have an application form completed you cannot be enrolled in the course.

*The Department of Engineering at Dalhousie University’s Agricultural Campus in Truro is hosting a High School Engineering Design Competition on May 31, 2019.  The competition is open to grade 11 and 12 students with an interest in all disciplines of engineering.
