Athletics:
1) Good luck to the Girls Hockey team as they begin the first round of the playoffs today hosting Dartmouth at 4pm at the Sackville Arena.  The girls are to be dismissed at 2:45 pm.

2) Good luck to the Varsity Girls Basketball team as they host Dartmouth tonight at 6 pm.

3) Training for the Boys Rugby team continues tonight at 7:30 pm in the gym.

Guidance:
* Course Corrections:  All students please note that the deadline for course corrections is Friday, Feb. 7th at 9:15am. Your parent signed Course Correction Form must be passed into Student Services by Friday at 9:15am to begin the process.

Other:
*All first semester parking passes must be returned to Mrs. Daigle ASAP. You will not be able to pick up a second semester application when they become available if you have not handed in your first semester pass.

*There will be a quick meeting today at lunch in the Youth Health Centre for members of the breakfast club.

*Acts for Aids tickets will go on sale next week.  Tickets will be $5.

*There will be a sock drive for A block classes from February 10th -24th.  The goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of socks.

Black History Month:
*Wayde Bowles, also known as Rocky Johnson, was born in Amherst, NS. Descended from Loyalists who immigrated to NS after escaping a southern plantation, he initially trained as a boxer, sparring with the likes of Muhammed Ali and George Foreman. Rocky however, found his fame in the wrestling ring becoming one of the first black men to hold a WWF championship. After his retirement he was inducted in the WWE hall of fame.
