Lockview Daily News for Tuesday, October 15th

  • The next round of math contests is coming up in November. The Canadian Intermediate and Senior Math Contests are being written on Wednesday November 13th in the morning. If you are interested in writing one of these contests, TODAY is the last day to sign up with your math teacher. If you have questions, see Ms Miles in Room D207. 

  • A reminder that school pictures and IDs from picture day in September are available for pick up in the main office.

  • A representative from Mount Allison University will be at Lockview on Thursday, October 17. There will be a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer session. The meeting will be held in Room A102. All interested  students are invited to attend.

  • It's a big day for Lockview Athletics! Good luck to all teams in competition today. All three Soccer teams are in playdown action today:

    • The GIrls JV team takes on Citadel in the Metro JV Final at 4 pm on Cole Harbour All Weather Feild. The team will be dismissed at 2:45 pm.

    • The Girls Varsity Team plays the first round of playdowns vs Woodlawn at 6 pm on the Harbour East Field.

    • The Boys Varsity Team is also in playdowns vs Auburn at 6 pm on the Harbour East Field.

  • The Girls Hockey Team Play their Home Opener vs Dartmouth High at 4 pm at Sackville Arean. The team will be dismissed at 2:45 pm.

  • The Boys Hockey Team will play their first regular season game vs. Auburn at 6:30 pm today at Cole Harbour Place.

  • Congrats to the Girl’s JV Volleyball Team, which beat Auburn in three sets last Thursday night. Callie Schwartz was the player of the game.

  • Congratulations to the Dragons Football Team for continuing their winning streak and bringing home the Community Bowl trophy with a 15-7 victory over Sackville High! Anderson Chaisson led the way, scoring two touchdowns, while Luke Bowden added two successful kicks. Anderson Chaisson was named Offensive Player of the Game, Cameron Moore earned Defensive Player of the Game, and Landon Felix received the Heart and Hustle Hammer.

Don’t miss the Dragons’ last regular season game this Thursday at 7 p.m. in Burnside. Tickets are just $3 for students, and you can snag a free Lockview Football sticker at the game while supplies last. Let’s show up and support our team!
