NSCC’s Akerley Campus still has openings for the following programs: Business Hospitality; Business Tourism; Gas Technician; Oil Heat Systems Technician
If any of these programs interest you, be sure to apply as soon as possible.

Student Services
Attention all!!   Lockview Student Services has a new website at https://sites.google.com/gnspes.ca/lockviewstudentservices

The link for the new site can be found on Lockview’s Main Webpage under “Our School”.  Go to Departments.  Click on the Student Services link.

Math Tutors
Need help with math? The Peer Tutors are still available Monday to Thursday at lunch in room D207. Come on in and let them help you with any math topic you are struggling with.

Student Council
Grade Level Rep. forms from Students' Council are available in the Student Council room.  They are due back on Friday at the latest.

Life after High School
Life after high school will pick back up NEXT MONDAY. The topic will be on Student Loans and the class is now open to both Grade 12's and 11's.

Co-Op
All students who are enrolled in Co-Op 11 or Co-Op 12 that have not passed in or received an application form, please see Mr. Bucci in room A201 as soon as possible.  These application forms are important for the course.  Thank you

Political Science Club
There will be a mandatory meeting for the Political Science Club at lunch today

Portfolio Pick Up
Any of the tech ed 9 students from 3rd quarter can pick up their portfolio from Mrs. Cooper before the end of the week.

Glass Slipper Giveaway 2018
This is for any student looking for a prom dress.  Dresses are free of charge with a student ID. This is happening this weekend!
Date: May 5, 2018
Location: Paul O'Regan Hall (Halifax Central Library) from 10am- 5pm
Admission: Free, A student ID is required.
- Pick out a prom dress, refreshments, get social, and have a good time. :)

Spring Market:
Free the Children is hosting a Spring Market this Saturday, May 5th from 10-2pm.
Prom and other groups will also be fundraising at this event.
We have many vendors and crafters coming in as well as local and school groups participating in the market. Anyone can get a table for $25. School groups get them for free!
There will be:
BBQ and Canteen
Market Tables
Cake walk
Kids Games with prizes
Car Wash-maybe
This is a great event to bring the family out to and we hope to see some of your there.
If you can't come but would like to show your support we will gladly take donations of cakes for the cake walk or baked goods for our table.
FTC members will also have tickets available at $2 each or 3 for $5 on  a selection of goody baskets. You could even donate items to the baskets.
