Athletics:
1) Good luck to the Girls Rugby team as they participate in the NSSAF Championships this weekend at the Cole Harbour turf.  The girls open the tournament against Horton at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning with their 2nd game at 4:00 p.m. vs North Nova. 
2) Good luck to the Track and Field team as they compete in the NSSAF Track Meet at Cape Breton University this weekend.
3) Good luck to the Girls Slopitch team as they participate in the NSSAF Championships this weekend at the Leo Blair Memorial Fields outside of Truro.  The girls open the tournament with a 10:00 a.m. game against South Colchester on Friday morning.  Their 2nd game is against West Kings at 2:45 p.m. on Friday with their 3rd game on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. vs Amherst.

Japan Trip
There are still places available on the Japan Trip 2019!!!! Please see Ms McWilliam in room F110 for details regarding the trip and fundraising opportunities!

There are some Veseys orders still to pick up, please collect them from room F110

Student Council News
There will be a Hypnotist Show on June 7th from 7-9pm. Doors will open at 6:30 and there will be NO entry after 7. Tickets will be on sale today and all of next week at lunch and at the door. They are $5 and you need your student ID to buy them.

Attention graduating students! Prom Committee is looking for pictures of you and your friends for our prom slideshow! If you have any pictures that you want in the slideshow please send them to lockviewprom2018@gmail.com

Grad Fees
Attention Grade 12 graduating students!  Grad Fees of $60 are due as soon as possible.  You are able to pay by cheque or cash.  These fees cover rental of the Halifax Forum, gowns, and other costs associated with graduation.  Please see Mrs. Daigle in the Students Services office to pay your fees.

All City Choir
The Vocala Girls’ Honour Choir and the Dartmouth Jazz Choir, a program of the HRCE’s All-City Music Department, will be holding auditions for new members beginning at 4 p.m. on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 5 at Dartmouth Music Centre, 35 Major Street
Tuesday, June 12 at Dartmouth Music Centre, 35 Major Street

Singers may book an audition time by contacting the Dartmouth Music Centre at 902-435-8464. The audition piece will be “O Canada”.

Applicants for Vocala Girls’ Honour Choir must be in Grade 7-12 in September 2018.
Male applicants for the Jazz Choir must be in Grades 9-12 in September 2018. (female applicants must be members of Vocala)

Shout Outs
One of our amazing Grad 12 artists, Emily Thompson entered a piece in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Award for Excellency in Visual Arts scholarship and she was one of six finalists! Her artwork, “End the Stigma” will be exhibited at the AGNS on June 13th, congratulations Emily!
