Athletics:

1) Good luck to the JV Girls Volleyball team as they host Sacred Heart in the Metro Final today at 4 pm.
2) Good luck to the Varsity Boys Basketball team as they host Sackville tonight at 8 pm.

Band:

*Percussion ensemble will have a full rehearsal on stage at the start of lunch today.

*Shrek audition sign-ups are on the LHS webpage.  Please sign up by Friday of this week as the sign up will be closed after Friday.  We also need dancers - if you are a tap dancer especially, please consider joining our cast.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Burtt or Mr. Bauckman.

YHC:

*There will be a Jack.org meeting today at lunch in the youth health centre.

*Attention Lockview High School! The Youth Health Centre is collecting cash, mittens, gloves or scarfs, bus tickets or Gift cards for Phoenix Youth Programs. Phoenix has a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of at risk and homeless youth. All donations can be brought to the Youth Health Centre for collection.

Guidance:

*Attention grade 12 students interested in pursuing a career in engineering, the Peter Kohler Scholarship is now accepting applications for students who are in financial need. Submissions will be accepted until Dec 31, 2018.

* There will be no mini sticks on December the 6th or 7th the final day will be on Monday the 10th at lunch there will be a second pool for other teams who want to sign up .

*There will be a charity club meeting today at lunch.

*There will be a hot chocolate sale in support of the Beacon House on Friday at lunch in the main forum. $1.25 for a hot chocolate with marshmallows and $1.00 for a hot chocolate without marshmallows

*Are you fully prepared for Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa?  Did you know this time of year can be extremely difficult for some families in need?  The Charity club in coordination with the resource center, Bryony house and the Lion's club Christmas Family Charity, is holding a Food Drive and Charity to fulfill the need in our community.  There are boxes in each home room and we will be collecting food items and donations until December 13.  What is your role? Bring in as many items as you can because, guess what Dragons... You could win a Pizza Party for your class by collecting Food items!  Let's show how big a Dragons heart can be!

*There will be a tailgate BBQ held in the bus loop at lunch on Tuesday, December 11.  Hotdogs will be sold for $1.50 and cans of pop for $2.00.  All proceeds will go to the Christmas Families fundraiser.

*The new potential exemption list has been posted outside of guidance. Please check for your name this week.  Any corrections will need to be made by Monday, December 10, 2018.
