Athletics:
1) The Cross Country Meet scheduled for today has been cancelled due to the weather.
2) Good luck to the Varsity Boys Soccer team as they take on the West today at 4pm at Mainland.  The boys are to be dismissed at 2:45pm.
3) Good luck to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team as they host JLI tonight at 6pm.
4) Reminder to the JV Boys Soccer team that they have practice today at 4pm on the Lockview field.
5) Reminder to the Gr. 9 Girls Flag Football team that they have practice today at 4pm on the Lockview field.
6) Reminder to the Baseball team that they have practice at MacDonald Sports Park tonight at 5:45pm.
7) Reminder to the Golf team to return their shirts to Mr. Wilcox.

Guidance:
Are you interested in applying for the Loran Scholarship?  You must apply on line at http://www.loranscholar.ca/  before Oct. 10th, 2018.   While filling out the on-line application, you will be asked if you are school sponsored for this award.  At this stage of the process please click yes. Loran Organization will send an e-mail to the Guidance Counsellor that you list on your application stating that you are asking to be school sponsored by Lockview High School.  Between Oct. 10th and Oct. 17th, Lockview’s selection committee will decide which of the applicants will be school sponsored for this year. On or before Oct. 17th, Lockview will be able indicate on the three chosen student’s on-line applications if they are school sponsored for this year.  All other students would be rerouted to the Direct Pool for consideration for Oct. 24th, 2018 deadline.  Please be advised that Lockview will not consider students for this scholarship whom submit an application after Oct. 10th

Hey Lockview the gaming club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at Lunch in room F208. All are welcome!!

Improv club will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch Backstage (F106).  If you want to play some fun Drama games, come check it out!  Bring your lunch, bring a friend!

Attention AV Team.  There will be a meeting for all members of the AV Term at the start of lunch today in Mr. Boudreau's room, B111.  New members are welcome.  If you signed up at the Club Fair, please come to the meeting today.

This week, we will begin the process of selecting this year's competitive Improv Team.  Join us backstage (F106) after school today for tryouts.  Bring a snack; we'll be there until 5:00.

There will be a Best Buddies meeting in the D-pod at lunch today. If you are participating you will need to pick up a form to have signed and returned by Monday. Best Buddies activities will begin at lunch time on Monday.

If you are interested in attending the NSSSA conference please meet in the student council lounge at the beginning of lunch.
