1) Good luck to the JV Girls Basketball team as they play at Cole Harbour today at 6 pm.

2) Good luck to the Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams as they both host Millwood tonight with the games being aired on East Link.  The girl's game tips off at 6pm while the boys follow at 8pm.

3) Tryouts for both the Boys and Girls Rugby teams begin this week.  The boys will have sessions on Wednesday and Thursday at 4pm and the girls will run on Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm.

4) Congratulations to the Boys Hockey team as they defeated Halifax West on Saturday night with a 6-4 win.  Devon Francis led the way with three goals.

5) We will be hosting the following Parent Information Sessions in the Cafetorium at 6:30 pm:
Grade 9 Parent Information Session – Monday, February 6 (Inclement weather delay date February 8)
Grade 10 and 11 Parent Information Session – Monday, February 13 (Inclement weather delay date February 15)

6) All band students are reminded that all rehearsals will start up this week.  Jazz band Thursday after school and Senior band Tuesday after school.  Lunch time ensembles will resume as well.

7) Attention all students. We are excited to announce that something unique in the music department will be happening here at Lockview High School this spring. This "something" hasn't happened for several years. There will be an information meeting Thursday at lunch. Please listen to the announcements for further details.

8)Student council will be hiding red envelopes around the school with a little prize to celebrate a late Chinese New Year.
