Athletics:
1) Good luck to the Girls Hockey team as they take on Citadel today at 4 pm at the Halifax Forum.  The girls are to be dismissed at 2:30 pm.
2) Good luck to the Boys Hockey team as they play Cole Harbour today at 5 pm at Cole Harbour Place. 
3) Good luck to the JV Boys Basketball team as they play at Dartmouth tonight at 8 pm.
4) The annual Bill Dompierre basketball tournament will be hosted at Lockview this Friday and Saturday.  The tradition of opening the tournament with a pair of spirit games will continue with the girls kicking off at 12 pm followed by the boys at 2 pm.  A list of students eligible to attend the spirit games will be posted outside the gym by end of day today.  As this tournament is an official fundraiser for Kidney Cancer Canada it is asked that students donate a loonie or toonie upon admission to the games.

Other:
*Our School photographers will be back at Lockview on January 17th & 18th. If you still need retakes, ID’s or grad photos a link for bookings is posted on our website.  Any students who would like pictures taken with friends, these photos will take place on the afternoon of January 18.

*Attention grade 12’s, the graduation ceremony will take place at the Halifax Forum on June 26 at 4 pm.

*Are you looking to buy the perfect Valentine’s Day gift?  The Charity Club will be selling rafikis for $10 every Wednesday at lunch from January 9 to 23 at the booth in the main Forum. 

*The hockey team will also be hosting “Pie a Dragon” on Friday during lunch. Cost is $2 a pie.  All proceeds for these events will go to the “Make a Wish Foundation”.

*Anyone who has signed up to play in the Shrek pit band should see Mrs. Burtt tomorrow at lunch to pick up your book.  Our first rehearsal will be Monday after school.  Mrs. Burtt is still looking for 2 guitar players who can read music not just tabs.  If you are interested please drop by the music room.  Also if there are any piano players who would like to take a look at the pit band piano parts please see Mrs. Burtt.
