Athletics:
1) Good luck to the JV Girls Basketball team as they compete in the Park View tournament today and tomorrow.  The girls are to be dismissed at 2 pm today.
2) Good luck to the Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams as they host the annual Bill Dompierre tournament today and tomorrow.  The girls kick off the tournament at 12 pm today with the boys following at 2 pm.  A list of students who are eligible to attend the spirit games is posted outside the gym and was also posted on the school app this morning.  Students are asked to donate a loonie or toonie at admission to help support Kidney Cancer Canada.  Students who attend the spirit games are expected to remain in the gym to watch the games.

The Schulich Leader Scholarship:   The Schulich school sponsored nomination deadline is quickly approaching.  All interested Grade 12 students should review the eligibility parameters for this award at   http://www.schulichleaders.com/#slide-top

If you are interested in being considered for Lockview’s one school sponsored spot please send an e-mail to your Guidance Counsellor by Friday, January 18th, 2019 to express your interest.

Other:
*Are you looking to buy the perfect Valentine’s Day gift?  The Charity Club will be selling rafikis for $10 every Wednesday at lunch from January 9 to 23 at the booth in the main Forum. 

*There will be a meeting for all current grade 10 and 11 students who are interested in the Europe 2020 trip at lunch today in room A209 (Mme. Chiasson’s room).  This meeting will be brief but it is really important that you attend if possible.

*Our School photographers will be back at Lockview on January 17th & 18th. If you still need retakes, ID’s or grad photos a link for bookings is posted on our website.  Any students who would like pictures taken with friends, these photos will take place on the afternoon of January 18.

*The Lockview hockey game against J.L IIsley on Tuesday will be in support of the “Make a Wish Foundation”.  Please plan to attend to help out a Make a Wish kid.
