• Our Terry Fox Walk will take place today during second period.  To date our school has raised $249.30. You can still donate today either during the walk or during A Block. You can also donate at terryfoxschoolrun.org.  Let’s remember Terry’s courage and determination as we walk in support of cancer research.
• Picture day is tomorrow!  Please check the school website, or the email sent home last week for instructions on how to log in to access your proofs and to place orders.
• Senior band and Jazz band start next week after school.  Please sign up in the band room if you are interested in being in either. 
• Grade 9 band students interested in Senior band should meet in the band room today at lunchtime
• Grade 10 students interested in Senior band should meet in the band room Friday at lunchtime
• Hey all of you singers we would like to revive our Lockview choir - come on in and see Mrs. Burtt if you would like to sing in our newly formed choir.  There is a sign -up sheet inside the band room door.  We will meet Mondays at lunchtime
• This is a message for all grade 9 band students who are in second semester band.  Our meeting is now at 1:00 today in the music room.
• Congrats to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team as they opened their season with a 3-0 win over JLI lasts night.  Jenna Allison was player of the game.
• Thanks to all those students who came out to the Golf tryout last night at Oakfield.  The team roster is posted on the Athletics site and the School App.  There will be an important meeting for the Golf team at the beginning of lunch in Room A102.
• Good luck to the Cross -Country team as they compete in the first Metro Series Meet today at Hemlock Ravine at 4 pm.  Runners are to be dismissed at 3 pm.
• Good luck to the JV Girls Soccer team as they take on Cole Harbour today at Mic Mac at 4:15 pm.  The girls are to be dismissed at 3 pm.
• Good luck to the Varsity Girls Soccer team as they play at CPA tonight at 6 pm.

• Anyone interested in joining the Library Art club please see Mrs. Powell in the library to sign up.  Each month the Sackville Public Library will provide an activity or craft to keep you busy during lunchtime.  Space is limited so Students must sign up before October 14th to participate.
• Calling all readers! Book Club is back! You're invited to bring your lunch to the library and discuss your favourite or not so favourite book.  All are grades welcome.
• This yearbook club will be held on Tuesdays at lunchtime and will begin on Oct 4th.  If you are interested, please sign up in the library. Space is limited.
• Do you need help with your math work? Peer Tutoring Support will run every lunch hour this semester. It will be in room D207 (Ms. Miles' room) from 12:10 until the end of lunch. Any student who needs help with their math work is encouraged to come to room D207 at lunch and a Grade 12 Pre-Calculus student will be happy to help you out.
