Athletics:
1) Good luck to the Girls Rugby team as they take on Citadel today at 4:45 at Mainland Common.  Please dismiss the girls at 3:15 pm.  The game today will be broadcast on Eastlink.
2) Good luck to the Boys Rugby team as they take on Citadel today at 3:30 at Harbour East.  The boys are to be dismissed at 2:00 pm.
3) Tryouts for both the boys and girls slo-pitch teams will be held this week.  The girls will have an outdoor hitting session on Tuesday at lunch on the field and an indoor fielding session on Thursday at lunch in the gym.  The boys hitting session on the field will be Wednesday at lunch with an indoor fielding session in the gym on Friday at lunch.  Students must provide their own glove and must attend both sessions.
4)Track and field will be at met field today at 2:30.  Athletes are dismissed at 2pm.

Band News
*Congratulations to all Lockview band students for your fine performances last week at the Kiwanis music Festival.  You received high standards and praise from the adjudicator.   Well done and thank you for representing Lockview with pride, confidence and musicality.
*There is a very important Toronto Band rehearsal after school today until 4:45
*There are no ensembles at lunch this week and no senior band tomorrow after school.

Political Science Club
All members of the political science club who ordered a t-shirt have to bring $20 each to the meeting at lunch this Wednesday

Gardening Club
Any student or staff member wishing to be part of starting a garden club, please meet Ms. Knox in B104 at lunch on Friday, May 11. Hope to see you there!!

Life After High School
There will be a meeting today after school.

Med School are you interested??  
Guidance Counsellors are kindly asking Lockview students who are interested in pursuing Medical School after graduation to please send an e-mail expressing your interest to your guidance counsellor.  If even interest is shown, Dalhousie University Medical School Admissions Office is willing to hold an information session here at Lockview for our students.   Please respond to your Guidance Counsellor by Tuesday, May 8th.

A HUGE thank you to members of the Free the Children group and Prom Committee who worked on the Spring Market Saturday here at LHS. And to all those who helped by coming out to join in the fun, setting up, tearing down and donating to the market. It was a great event. Well done everyone.
